Country Women's Association - CWA
Tin Can Bay's branch of a division of the Q.C.W.A. As well as our commitments we pay to our state office we have a seaside cottage which is rented out on a weekly basis as holiday accommodation (primarily to country families) at a low rental as we are all volunteers. QCWA provides support and friendship for women of all ages in all areas of the state, rural and city. Handcraft, cookery, photography, international study are a few of the many activities. We lobby to improve conditions for women and their families.
The Queensland Country Women's Association is a non political, non sectarian organisation that supports women, children and families throughout Queensland. The organisation is an entirely voluntary one and receives no government funding. As well as providing financial and in kind support to families and communities throughout Queensland, the QCWA also supports a number of international projects.
