Migratory Shorebirds make huge journeys twice a year!
It is estimated that over 5 million Migratory Shorebirds of over 30 species make incredible flights between the Northern Hemisphere and sites in Asia, the Pacific Islands, Australia, and New Zealand, with many of these stopping off at Wetland Sites along the Cooloola Coast to rest and feed.
The route they take is along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway!
